Coca Cola Enterprises – Customer Success

Client: Coca Cola Enterprises
Region: DCT Eastern Region
Type: Facility Redevelopment

The Situation
Coca Cola Enterprises is the third largest bottler in the world, with a portfolio that spans a full range of brands and beverage categories. The company was looking to expand operations in Florida and were in negotiations with another firm for a building when the deal fell apart. Coca Cola faced serious time constraints in finding another industrial real estate property that met their strict operational and transportation needs.

How DCT Industrial Helped
The DCT team had a relationship with Coca Cola Enterprises and was ready to assist. DCT Industrial identified an opportunity that was not yet on the market at the Airport Distribution Center in Orlando. However, the property had another prospective client interested in leasing it as well.

DCT Industrial was able to successfully find a home for the other tenant’s operations – in an adjacent shell building known as Airport Distribution Center 10. With the situation resolved, DCT’s development team worked quickly to build out the Airport Distribution Center building to Coca Cola’s required specs.

In the End
Coca Cola Enterprises now has a 7-year, single-tenant lease for the 72,000 SF building at 8420 Boggy Creek Road—and has the transportation route accessibility that their operations need.

“With DCT’s responsiveness and visibility of both on-market and off-market options, we were able to find a solution quickly and keep business operations moving forward.”
