As Managing Director for DCT Industrial Trust since 2007, Michael J. Ruen is responsible for all property management, capital deployment, development, and investments for the Eastern United States. Prior to this position, Mr. Ruen served as a Senior Vice President for DCT.
Mr. Ruen brings 17 years of real estate experience to DCT Industrial. Before joining our team, Mr. Ruen was an employee of the Company’s former external advisor, Dividend Capital Advisors LLC. He also spent nine years at Prologis Trust. While there, Mr. Ruen was a First Vice President and Market Officer with responsibilities over development, acquisition, and portfolio operations for the state of Tennessee. He also oversaw similar operations for Denver, Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Mr. Ruen also worked for CBRE in Atlanta and managed various institutional account activities, including general brokerage.
He received his M.B.A. from Georgia State University and his B.S. from the University of Alabama.
