As Senior Vice President for DCT Industrial’s Denver and Phoenix markets, Mark Bowen is responsible for the markets’ capital deployment which includes development and acquisitions, as well as leasing for the Denver and Phoenix portfolios and managing the market team.
Mr. Bowen has more than 30 years of experience in real estate and finance and has been with DCT Industrial since 2004. During his tenure at DCT Industrial, he assisted with the initial growth of the Company’s Houston, Northern California, Southern California and Seattle portfolios, prior to market teams being established in those areas. This growth not only helped to further establish the markets within DCT Industrial’s portfolio, it also began the repositioning of the Company into highly-desirable locations within the markets. Prior to joining the team, Mr. Bowen was the Senior Vice President at The Laramar Group, a privately held, full-service, multi-family organization. While there, he was responsible for acquisitions, development, value-add, financing, debt and equity strategies and dispositions. Mr. Bowen was an Executive of the company and was a member of its Investment Committee. Mr. Bowen spent 15 years with General Electric Real Estate in various positions, the most recent of which was as the Western Director of Investments and Development. In this role he managed offices in Seattle, Irvine, and Denver. Mr. Bowen and his team acquired or developed, office, retail, multi-family, and procured land opportunities throughout the western United States.
Mr. Bowen received his B.S. in Business Management from Colorado State University. He is currently a member of NAIOP’s Acquisition Forum, and an active member of the Denver and Phoenix Chapters of SIOR, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
