As Vice President of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations for DCT Industrial, Melissa Sachs is responsible for strategic planning, development, and implementation of the Company’s communications and investor relations programs that further DCT Industrial’s objectives and support the business.
Mrs. Sachs has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications and has been with DCT Industrial since 2011. She is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate communications, marketing and investor relations, including external communications to all stakeholders, executive communications, crisis communications and issues management, investor relations, public relations, thought leadership, national marketing and branding. During her tenure at DCT Industrial, Mrs. Sachs lead a strategic rebrand initiative and is responsible for the Company’s brand direction and strategy, maintaining an authentic, elevated and sophisticated DCT presence. Prior to joining the team, Mrs. Sachs served as Director of Communications for The Americas at Western Union. Before Western Union, Melissa spent five years at International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. leading global corporate communications.
Mrs. Sachs has a M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University in New York City, a B.S. in Communications and a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Additionally, she completed the Executive Education Program “Strategy, Accounting, Finance and Communication” from the Leeds School of Business at University of Colorado at Boulder. Currently, Mrs. Sachs is a Board member for Special Olympics Colorado and a member of the invitation-only Arthur W. Page Society for communications executives.
